MPD Holdings, LLC, d/b/a MPD Chemicals (“MPD”), is pleased to announce the appointment of Carrington D. Smith, Ph.D. as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2014. Dr. Smith is also elected a member of the Board of Managers.

Dr. Smith brings considerable and relevant industry experience to MPD having previously spent over 20 years at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in various positions throughout the organization. Dr. Smith has a demonstrated track record of leadership with visionary qualities and broad technology, business development and M&A- related expertise. Carrington earned a BS in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a focus on polymer science from Virginia Tech.
